Introduction
Most systems fail in the gaps between domains. When responsibility passes from one team to another, details fall through. Ownership blurs. Small blind spots multiply. My job is to close those gaps.
I lead the enterprise experience for Marine Corps recruitment, but my role extends far beyond that. I support the ecosystem as a whole, across enterprise systems, the public-facing website, and our mobile app.
I work where I’m needed. I fill holes. I resolve friction. And I do it without creating bottlenecks or drawing a circle around “my lane.”
Each of these platforms serves a different point in the recruitment lifecycle—from the initial interest at Marines.com, to enterprise systems that support conversion, to the SquadBay app that prepares enlistees for basic training.
I support them all. Sometimes through strategy. Sometimes design. Always through alignment.
My goal isn’t to micromanage. It’s to raise the floor across the board. I do this by challenging assumptions, asking better questions, and guiding teams to think two steps ahead.
Leadership, in this context, means making others better; even when I’m not in the room.
Key CONTRIBUTIONS
SquadBay mobile app: Contribute across UX and feature alignment to ensure recruits have the tools they need for testing and physical training before basic.
Website oversight: Provide design and strategic guidance for Marines.com, supporting the senior designer and aligning the site to evolving recruitment objectives and 10-year planning goals.
Design system expansion: Maintain and scale our design system to unify web, enterprise, and mobile experiences—including systems for high-frequency touchpoints like emails and modals.
Data asset management: Lead improvements to our DAM tooling and logic, ensuring the accuracy of 40,000+ location records that drive routing, recruiter assignment, and system-wide operations.
Cross-functional unblocker: Step in wherever needed to identify misalignments, clarify workflows, and elevate quality—whether or not I “own” the project.
